We’ll ship you a replacement Kindle (same or newer model depending on availability). You’ll also receive a pre-paid shipping label to send your damaged Kindle back to us (must have a valid credit card on file in order to receive a replacement).

Return your damaged Kindle within 30 days from reception (otherwise you will be charged the price of the replacement).

  • Upon purchase, you’ll receive an email. This will be your official purchase confirmation. To give you the best customer experience possible, SquareTrade may also contact you about your purchase by telephone.

  • Start Date: Plan begins on the date your Kindle ships (or when your Kindle ships for pre-ordered devices) and is inclusive of the manufacturer’s warranty period.     Here is the interaction I had with this company. I think it says it all. I normally am a big fan of warranties, but not warranties where the company takes weeks to get back to me, and then hardly answers my questions about my coverage, then confirms that the coverage I bought really doesn’t cover the product for which I bought it. Plus, for some reason, buying it through Amazon is $10 more expensive than buying it through Square Trade.

    I can see the warranty that you have purchased for your Kindle fire that have the maximum coverage for $99.

    According to Amazon website, it says that this tablet is for $119

    In this case I would suggest that you can go ahead and buy the warranty through our website for either two or three years.

    This warranty will cover your Kindle up to the price that you paid (excluding shipping and sales tax)

    Once the warranty has been purchased, you can send us the receipt through email or fax. Receipt is only required at a time of filling a claim.

    If you want to cancel the warranty that you already have purchased, then please call this number 1-866-374-9939 so that they can go ahead and cancel this warranty for you.

    Square Trade also offers warranty for any electronic item that you will be purchasing from any retailer and retailer’s website within 30days from your purchase date.

    We also cover eBay purchased electronic items as long as they are within 30days from the purchase date or the auctions close date.

    I bought a 2-year protection plan for my new Kindle Paperwhite (without ads – $139) for $29.99. I just logged onto your website and it says that my maximum coverage amount is $99.00. That’s $40 less than the price I paid for my Paperwhite. I then went onto the e-reader/tablet part of your website, and it looks like I can get 2 years of coverage at the $99 level for $19.99.
    1. Why does it show max coverage amount is $99 when that Kindle costs $139?
    2. If I can buy the $99 coverage plan for $19.99, why did I just pay $29.99?
    If I don’t get satisfactory answers to these questions, I’m canceling. Feels dishonest to me.

    Strike one – I pre-purchased my Kindle on Sep 13 together with this warranty. Amazon did not charge me until they shipped the item, square trade charged me for the warranty immediately. So I was charged a full 17 days prior to the Kindle being shipped for the Kindle warranty. When I decided I did not want the warranty, I ‘returned’ this via Amazon website on Sep 23 and got a confirmation email from Amazon. Strike 2 – I hear nothing from Square Trade for 3 days. I called Square Trade on Sep 26 after hearing nothing from them and reiterated my wish to return. They sent an email confirming my return, then I got an email from Amazon saying i canceled my return (which I did not – I have done nothing but try to ‘return’ this warranty). I emailed Square Trade yesterday and have heard nothing. Strike 3. This is ridiculous, I have tried to return this 3 times and STILL have gotten nothing but the runaround. I can only imagine what it is like trying to get warranty service on the Kindle device if it is SO difficult to return/cancel an order before i have even received the device it is warranting. I would NEVER want to use this company for any service related issue based on my poor experience with them.

    the Kindle Paperwhites were purchased in November for Christmas gifts. Square Trade would NOT honor that and said that the warranty would have to start when shipped. Also I purchased the Kindles without ads and I was told that they do NOT replace the same Kindle that you purchased. The wait time on the phone to speak to a representative was extremely long also.
