Question by Chris: Can my landlord charge security deposits exceeding 150% of the rent amount?
I’m moving to Arizona and the lease indicates that before I move in I have to give them certified funds that cover Security + Cleaning + Pro-rated June + July rent and last months rent. On the lease it clearly states that the landlord can not charge security deposits and prepaid rent in excess of 150% of the rent and that is clearly the case her. The real-estate agent is blowing the whole thing off and I’m afraid they will turn down my offer should I challenge the issue more. I’m I wrong here, what is my recourse?

Not if the lease says no. Find another apartment anyway.
